This is a bilingual edition of some of the Bajki [Fables] of Ignacy Krasicki, a Polish Enlightenment author of the eighteenth century. The publisher arranged for the book to be illustrated, but the illustrator is not credited. The English versions of the Fables are translated by Gerard T. Kapolka, who also provides an introduction. Although the Fables are often read by children, in content they are meant for adults, rather in the style of La Fontaine.
