The Great Gatsby at St. John's College
The Friends of St. John's College, in cooperation with Annapolis Alive! and THE BIG READ, are sponsoring the following events on The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald:
- Wednesday, May 14, at 7 p.m. - Seminars on The Great Gatsby led by members of the St. John's faculty.
THE SEMINARS ARE NOW FULL.
There is no fee for the seminars but registration is required. Participants will have read the book in advance. Seminars will be held in McDowell Hall - see directions and campus map. A wine, music, and dessert reception will follow the seminar (weather permitting) in the courtyard outside of historic McDowell Hall. Free parking is available on campus or in the State Parking Garage on St. John's street. - Thursday, May 15, at 7 p.m. - A free showing of The Great Gatsby movie starring Robert Redford and Mia Farrow in Francis Scott Key Auditorium. Registration is not required.
