News from Steve Werlin, Alumnus in Haiti
Steven Werlin (A85), professor of Liberal Arts at Shimer College in Chicago, reports on life after a devastating earthquake in Haiti. Werlin lives in Pétion-Ville, where he serves as the Coordinator of Shimer's international educational outreach.
Working with Haitian partners, Werlin explores ways to make discussion-based education a part of the life of teaching and learning in Haiti. He works with students and teachers at all levels: primary school, secondary school, university, and adult literacy.
