St. John's Alum Shortlisted for National Book Award
November 17, 2008: The National Book Award will be announced next week, and among the finalist is first time novelist, Salvatore Scibona. Scibona's historical fiction piece, The End, is about race in the Midwest during the first half of the 20th century has been compared to literary giants like Faulkner, Joyce and Virginia Wolfe.
