Chrysostomos, the theatre group of St. John’s College, is proud to present a holiday performance of Truman Capote’s A Christmas Memory and Dylan Thomas’ A Child’s Christmas in Wales. These two heart-warming tales will bring back memories of childhood and wonderful times spent with family and friends during the holiday season.
A Christmas Memory recalls Capote’s orphaned youth in the rural South during the 1930s. Set in a small Welsh town on Christmas Day, A Child’s Christmas in Wales captures a child’s view, and an adult’s remembrance, of a boy’s magical time of presents, good food, family, friends, and the frozen sea.
The Friends of St. John’s College invite you and your family on Saturday afternoon, December 15, for a special free performance. Hot chocolate, apple cider, fruitcake and biscochitos will be served at this family-friendly event, and there will be hay bales for folks to sit on while enjoying the performance.
Tickets for the December 12 and December 16 performances are $5 at the door. Admission is free for St. John’s College students, faculty and staff.
