St. John’s Exhibits Works by the Chesapeake Woodturners
The Chesapeake Woodturners present lathe-turned works in foreign and domestic woods that are functional and decorative, large and small. St. John’s College invites the community to their exhibit, which is free and open to the public. Works by the Chesapeake Woodturners will be on display in the Lillian Vanous Nutt Room of the Greenfield Library from November 10 through December 18. The Chesapeake Woodturners work at the lathe brings out the distinctive beauty of wood that may have begun as a local storm-damaged tree or a gnarled root burl from a distant country. Founded in 1992 to promote woodturning in the Annapolis area and beyond, the Chesapeake Woodturners sponsor skill-building workshops and public displays of their craft.
