The bell of St. John's College's McDowell Hall will ring between 12:30 and 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 3 as seniors at the third oldest college in the country continue an annual tradition that marks a senior rite of passage. Each of this year's 109 seniors will be allowed one celebratory peal marking the completion of a major senior paper that is due that evening. More ...

Gospel choirs and singing groups from Annapolis, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C, will take the stage at St. John's College on Sunday, January 13, at St. John's College. The event is a community celebration of the life and legacy of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. Open to all community members and free of charge, "Lift Every Voice" combines music with a dramatic reading of Dr. King's "I Have a Dream" speech, recited by St. John's students, alumni, staff, and prominent members of the wider Annapolis community. 11/29/07: The Hodson Trust Awards $3.5 Million to St. John's College
St. John's College has received a $3.5 million grant from The Hodson Trust, a Delaware-based trust established to support four Maryland colleges and universities. This year's grant will fund additional student internships; allow the college to establish a need-based scholarship in memory of Jeffrey A. Bishop, a long-time vice president at the college; support information technology improvements; and fund a comprehensive master landscaping and facilities use plan for the campus. More ...

Simmie Knox, an acclaimed artist known for his portrait of President Bill Clinton and numerous other American leaders, will present his portrait of philanthropist James H.
