The King William Players, St. John’s College’s student theater troupe, will perform “Red: The Musical,” written and directed by sophomore Alexander Leone. Performances of “Red” will be held in the Francis Scott Key Auditorium on April 30, at 8:15 p.m.; May 1, at 8 p.m.; and on May 2, at 3 p.m. All performances are free and open to the public. A question-and-answer period with the director and cast will follow the April 30 performance.
“Red” is an original, one-act musical based on the classic tale “Little Red Riding Hood.” Playwright and director Leone says he jazzed up the traditional story “with an intricate vocal score and a surprising plot twist.”
