Acclaimed Violinist to Perform at St. John's College

Acclaimed violinist Stefan Jackiw will perform music by Johannes Brahms at St. John's College. The concert, which is part of the St. John's College Concert Series, will be held in the Francis Scott Key Auditorium on Friday, April 24, at 8:15 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.

Jackiw's performance at St. John's will include sonatas for violin and piano by Brahms. Jackiw made his professional debut at the age of 12 with the Boston Pops in 1997. Since then he has performed countless times with such ensembles as the New York Philharmonic, the Chicago Symphony, and London's Philharmonia Orchestra. Jackiw is considered one of the most significant artists of his generation, already having been awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant and the Louis Sudler Prize in the Arts.

The concert is part of the St. John's College Concert Series, which brings world-renowned artists to the community of Annapolis.
