Business Friends of St. John's College Seminar Explores Law and Public Good

St. John’s College hosts the sixth annual Business Friends Seminar. The seminar series explores the principles of lawmaking and how our country’s founding documents balance the goals of business with the goals of society.
Attendees will join regional business and political leaders to discuss readings that are timeless and profoundly relevant in today’s world. Each seminar will be led by a St. John’s College tutor. The second seminar will be followed by dinner at the home of St. John’s president Chris Nelson.
Session 1 November 10, 7:30 a.m. Rousseau, Social Contract, Book 1, Chapters 1-9 and The Declaration of Independence
Session 2 November 17, 4 p.m. The Articles of Confederation and the US Constitution
Both seminars will be held at St. John’s College, 60 College Ave., Annapolis.
