The St. John’s College Concert Series presents renowned pianist Awadagin Pratt. This concert, free and open to the public, will feature classical works from Franz Liszt, Schumann, Bach, and Beethoven. The performance will be held in the Francis Scott Key Auditorium on Friday, October 29 at 8:15 p.m.
“Awadagin Pratt represents an energetic mix of old and new worlds. He performs from the great tradition of European piano works and does so with an inquisitive American spirit and brilliant personal intensity,” says Eric Stoltzfus, St. John’s College music librarian.
Mr. Pratt has performed around the world, from Japan and Germany to New York City, where he won the Naumburg International Piano Competition. He has been featured on numerous national television and radio programs and was selected to perform at a White House classical music event last year.
