Alumni Giving Council (formerly Philanthropia)
Alumni Giving Council is a group of volunteers who help encourage financial support of the College through participation in the Fund for St. John's. Since 1997, more than 350 alumni volunteers – mainly working through the Reunion Class Leader program -- have helped the college increase alumni participation in fundraising from 20% annually in 1997 to 35% today. Under the umbrella of the Alumni Association, the good work of Philanthropia will continue under the heading of the Alumni Giving Council.
As the new structure for the Alumni Association unfolds, the Alumni Giving Council welcomes the opportunity to join with other alumni groups as part of the Association. Tthe Alumni Giving Council Steering Committee will continue to work with the college’s Advancement staff and will fully participate in the Alumni Leadership Forum and other activities of the Alumni Association.
