For over 40 years the Caritas Society of St. John’s College in Annapolis has worked to strengthen bonds between St. John’s and the Annapolis community. Membership is open to anyone who wants to know more about what St. John’s has to offer, both to its students and its  and to the larger community.

Caritas members are committed to two complementary objectives: (1) supporting the St. John’s educational program by providing financial support to undergraduate students who would not be able to continue their education without that assistance; (2) fostering enduring relationships between the College and the larger Annapolis community.

Regular luncheon meetings at the College give members an opportunity to get to know each other, learn about St. John’s, and enjoy programs of interest to the community at large. Programs open to the public, such as “Meet the Author” in the fall and the Capitol Steps performance in the spring, help fund financial aid grants for students and introduce new people to St. John’s.

Every April, Caritas invites a senior via the Careers Office, to speak to the membership about the college and his/her future.
