Spanish Artists Market Auction
We invite you to participate in the St. John’s College Spanish Artists Market auction. The auction features outstanding artwork by Spanish Colonial artists donated to the college. The pieces in the online catalog will be on display at the St. John’s College, Meem Library lobby from February 5 – 12, 2010. We encourage you to view them.
We respectfully urge those who can to bid generously, and we ask you to follow the instructions below. You may submit bids in person, by e-mail, or by phone up until 12 p.m. on Friday, February 12. Any part of a bid over the minimum bid will be treated as a contribution to the College. All proceeds from the auction will benefit St. John’s College.

Official Instructions
- The lot descriptions are for informational purposes only, and to assist those who are unable to inspect the lots in person.
- Each lot will be on display in the Meem Library lobby from February 5 through February 12, 2010. Bidders are encouraged to view the artwork and books.
- Each item has a minimum bid. The opening bid on any item must be at least as high as the minimum bid and each successive bid must honor the increments posted or the bid will be disqualified.
- To purchase the piece outright, a bidder can choose to pay the BUY OUT price and will be considered the winning bidder.
- The highest bid at closing time will constitute the winning bid.
Silent Auction open bids may be submitted in one of the following ways:
- in person on the bid sheets at Meem Library during normal hours of operation, through February 12;
- by e-mail or phone with maximum bids to maggie@sjcsf.edu, 505-984-6199*
* E-mail and phone bids must specify bidder’s name, address, phone number and credit card number for any bid to be placed on behalf of an absentee bidder. The college can accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. All e-mail and phone bids must be received by 12 p.m. on February 12.
- Live Auction bidding on February 12th is done in person. Phoned in or e-mailed bids can be made for absentee bidders. Maximum bids should be placed by e-mail or phone to maggie@sjcsf.edu, 505-984-6199

- Auction items will be paid for and picked up by the highest bidder, as announced at the end of the Live Auction on the evening of February 12. Winners not present will be notified by phone.
- Items not paid for on or before 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2010, will go to the next highest bidder.
