St. John’s College Spanish Artists Market
Reception/Auction and Market

Peterson Student Center, Second Floor

A Valentine Weekend event to celebrate the heart and soul of local award-winning Spanish Colonial Artists. Join the Friends of St. John’s College at the annual Spanish Artists Market auction/ reception. Live and silent auctions will feature outstanding artwork by Spanish Colonial artists. The pieces will be available for preview on-line at www.stjohnscollege.edu in late January, and will be on display in the Meem Library lobby beginning February 5, 2010, for your bids. Auctions will be followed by the opening of the Spanish Artists Market in the Great Hall.

Spanish Artists Market

Saturday, February 13, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Peterson Student Center, Great Hall

The annual market presents art forms unique to New Mexico that are appreciated and valued the world over. The show will include bultos, jewelry, retablos, metal work, woodcarving, ceramics, straw appliqué, and weaving.

Artists include: Lawrence Baca, Fernando Bimonte, Charlie Carrillo, Ellen Chavez de Leitner, Arlene Cisneros Sena, Martha Ewing Varoz, Rhonda Crespin, Julia Gomez, Juanito (John) Jiménez, Fred Ray López, Gloria López Córdova, Jerome Lujan, Lenise Lujan Martinez, Jimmy and Mary Jo Madrid, Nicolas Madrid, Margarito Mondragón, Christine Montaño Carey, Diana Moya Lujan, Peter Ortega, Nicolas Otero, Rita Padilla-Haufmann, Daniel Rael, Felicia Rodriguez, Vicki Rodriguez, Leonard Salazar, Donna Sena Keirns, Ralph Sena, Mónica Sosaya Halford, Camilla Trujillo, Jimmy and Debbie Trujillo, Della Ulibarri, Rene Zamora.

The weekend events are free and open to the public. Valet parking available at the Visitors Circle Friday evening.
