for Fall Freshmen and first-term Graduate Institute students (11:15 am, Library Placita)
August 28 First meeting of ALL undergraduate seminars and Meno seminar for new students in the Graduate Institute (7:30 pm)
August 29 REGISTRATION: Graduate Institute students, New and Continuing (9 am - 5 pm, Weigle Hall, GI Office)
August 30 On-Campus College Community Service Day
September 13 Algebra Test [Required of all sophomores who have not yet passed; freshmen are obliged to attempt the test once by the end of freshman year.] (2:30 pm, Dining Hall)
September 26 - 28 Parents’ Weekend; Parents invited to Thursday night seminar, Friday Tutorials
October 4 Algebra Test [Required of all sophomores who have not yet passed; freshmen are obliged to attempt the test once by the end of freshman year.] (2:30 pm, Dining Hall)
October 8 All-College Seminar --  undergraduate tutorials canceled; GIEC tutorial students consult with tutors beforehand (2 - 4 pm)
October 10 - 12 Homecoming Weekend
October 23 - 25 Board Meeting (Annapolis)
November 8 Algebra Test [Required of all sophomores who have not yet passed; freshmen are obliged to attempt the test once by the end of freshman year.] (2:30 pm, Dining Hall)
December 6 Algebra Test [Required of all sophomores who have not yet passed; freshmen are obliged to attempt the test once by the end of freshman year.] (2:30 pm, Dining Hall)
January 16 January Freshmen arrive [see JF Orientation Schedule for all activities and meetings]
REGISTRATION: January Freshmen, Readmitted Students,
New and Continuing GRADUATE Institute Students (9 am - 4 pm, Weigle Hall) All students who did NOT complete their spring registration in December must see the Registrar.
All dormitories open (12 noon)
Coffee Shop opens for dinner.

March 4 Faculty Seminar Day (special events as scheduled); undergraduate tutorials canceled (2 - 4 pm) All GI classes meet as scheduled

Graduate Institute CONVOCATION (3 pm, Ault-Evers Room, Meem Library)
New GI students’ seminar on the Meno (6:30 pm)
