March 3 Capitol Steps. 8 p.m. Francis Scott Key Auditorium and Lobby. A champagne reception with the performers follows the show. The Capitol Steps began in 1981 and are a troupe of Congressional staffers-turned-comedians who travel the States satirizing the very people and places that once employed them. This year’s performance is titled: “Desperate House Members-- Sometimes the Opposite of Progress is Congress.” Proceeds benefit student financial aid. Dr. Bronté Jones, St. John’s College Treasurer, will answer the question, “Why Does St. John's Need a Business Office?” Reservations required: $25. Payment deadline: Monday, January 23. February 8 “Shuckin’ and Jivin’.” 5 to 8 p.m. Annapolis Maritime Museum located in the historic McNasby Oyster Company building in Eastport. Members and invited guests.
