The Campaign for St. John's College
College Priorities, Campaign Goals
St. John's College has developed a long-range plan that identifies the major priorities. Gifts to the campaign will be used to address these priorities:
For the Students:
- $33 million in endowment and Annual Fund for need-based financial aid, to ensure access for all students admitted to the college
- $3.5 million in endowment and Annual Fund to improve services to students, fund internship opportunities, and provide grants for teachers to attend the Graduate Institute
For the Faculty and the Academic Program:
- $34 million in endowment and Annual Fund to increase faculty salaries to the median of peer institutions; to provide more faculty development opportunities; to improve program-related student instructional material (manuals and workbooks)
- $5 million in endowment and Annual Fund for the St. John's Improvement Fund (ensuring excellent library collections and laboratory equipment; improving IT infrastructure)
Capital Projects:
- $49.5 million for building projects on the two campuses. Fundraising for these projects is separate from both endowment and Annual Fund:
- New dormitory complex in Santa Fe - $10 million
- Two new dormitories in Annapolis (completed) - $11 million
- Renovations to older dormitories in Annapolis - $2.5 million
- Addition and renovation for Evans Science Lab - $5.5 million
- Renovation of Mellon Hall (completed) - $11.5 million
- Santa Fe Initiative - $2 million
- Graduate Institute center in Santa Fe - $7 million
