Job Title: Administrative Assistant to Admissions
Supervision Received: Director of Admissions and Associate Director of Admissions Systems
Supervision Given: None
Compensation: $14.00 per hour
Status: Temporary position – 25 to 35 hours per week
Knowledge and Skills:
Role: Provide data entry support. Provide support to the Director of Admissions in maintaining MS Outlook calendar. Prepare and reviews various correspondence, takes notes, and performs other clerical functions as needed by the Director of Admissions. Provide support to the Associate Director of Admissions Systems in the form of data entry, and database maintenance, opening and disseminating mail, administering the communication flow of letters and publications to prospective students, and helping with the clerical/administrative and ITS tasks. Provide administrative support for the campus visit program and the Summer Academy. Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Expectations: Data entry experience. Type 60 words per minute. Good writing skills are preferred.

Job Title: Web Technical Developer
Reports To: ITS Operations Manager
General Purpose: The Web Technical Developer (WTD) is responsible for technical architecture, implementation and management of the St. John’s College public and internal web sites. This is a position that provides service to both campuses and can be stationed on either campus. The WTD is responsible for technical architecture, implementation and management of the sites. This person also develops a large array of web applications for the automation of internal operations such as electronic forms, workflow, and information access, as well as for integration with institutional databases.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
15% Provides technical maintenance and management of the College’s web sites and servers (Linux system administration.) This includes selecting, installing, and maintaining tools for web site management, web-database integration, and other functionality as needed for the development of the public web site or intranet
15% Design and implement a technical web architecture that best supports the public web and intranet needs of the college.
15% Develop systems and applications to automate college processes, and to integrate data from disparate administrative systems.
20% In collaboration with the communications directors manages website infrastructure, architecture, user experience and content management. Also collaborates with the college Webmaster and the web team to provide web server, development, and other resources to support the production of the public web site.
10% Works closely with departments on both campuses in order to understand how web enabled forms, workflow, data access and information distribution may enable their operations and achieve their goals, and to implement such systems and applications.
25% Implement a college intranet including authenticated access to faculty, staff and student segments. Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications: BA/BS Degree, three years demonstrated experience developing significant web applications featuring interactive forms and database connectivity or acceptable combination of education and experience.
Compensation: Grade 12, Minimum Salary $47,355.00 . Excellent benefit package.
