Graduate Institute
Apply to the Graduate Institute
In addition to the forms, applicants should submit a typed, double-spaced essay (approximately 6-9 pages in length) addressing the three topics outlined on the application, official transcripts for all post-secondary work done for college credit, and two letters of reference from people who know the applicant well, preferably in an academic setting. Forms for these letters can be printed out below. There is no application fee, and GRE scores are not required.
The purpose of the admissions process is to determine if applicants have a clear understanding of the program for which they are applying, a serious commitment to the work of that program, and sufficient ability and preparation to undertake that work. Applicants are not judged against one another; they are considered entirely on their own merits.
