Many Graduate Institute alumni choose to pursue post-graduate work. In an age of over-specialization which forces graduate students to know more and more about less and less, our graduates are among the few still capable of teaching in core curricula and not afraid to venture beyond their specializations into interdisciplinary teaching. Moreover, because of our daily practice in turning class discussions into fertile learning environments, St. John's graduates are uniquely skilled as teaching assistants and instructors.
